Planning a party, even a birthday party for kids, should not be too hard as long as you stick with the basics. Select a good theme for the decor, make sure the guests attend and serve the best food.
Send the Invitations
Make your guest list and create invitations based on that list. Invitation time is also planning time for tables and chairs. It can be hassling to find out that you don⤙t have enough seating for your guests. You need to also consider the fact that the guests could bring other guests. Just Just in case, add a few extra chairs.
Invitations are important because there is no party if the guests dont arrive. A party is not a party without the guests. The schedule you choose for your party must fit the schedule of guests.
Food for Serving
The menu should be related with the theme of the party. You are preparing for kids so make sure they can eat all that you put out. You should not serve raw foods like sushi or spicy food. The basics like chicken and fries are great, but they should be served nicely. Kids love spaghetti but they tend to get messy, so better stick with food that won⤙t stain much. Drinks can be served buffet style. You must also provide a place for the grown-ups to hang out.
Also, consider the time you are serving the food. A lunch or dinner should have several courses. You are better off serving snacks. Sweets are great for dessert, but not as main courses. Ice cream melts in any weather so you should serve ice cream last.
Decoration
The decor should be according to what⤙s in right now. Know your fairy tales and the popular cartoon characters at the moment. When kids celebrate with other kids, they want to see their cartoons around. If you would rather not use cartoon characters, you can stick with the conventional themes like princess, under the sea and cowboy ranch.
